His Birdfish guitar is considered the Porsche of electric guitars. Ulrich Teuffel never advertised the Birdfish and it's limited to 500 guitars. Still you can find it in every serious book about guitars. Billy Gibbons of ZZTop used it extensively on their album Mescalero. Dick Dale....Ghost Riders in the Sky
Dick Dale... invented surf music in the 1950's. Not the '60's as is commonly believed. He was given the title "King of the Surf Guitar" by his fellow surfers with whom he surfed with from sun-up to sun-down. He met Leo Fender the guitar and amplifier Guru and Leo asked Dale to play his newly creation, the Fender Stratocaster Electric Guitar. The minute Dale picked up the guitar, Leo Fender broke into uncontrolled laughter and disbelief, he was watching Dale play a right handed guitar upside down and backwards, Dale was playing a right handed guitar left handed and changing the chords in his head then transposing the chords to his hands to create a sound never heard before.

Beatles - Across The Universe (Bossa Nova/Jazzy version by Ben-Ezra Sound Project)
This is probably my favourite Beatles song. I was playing around with it and realized that the guitar really lends itself to a Bossa Nova-style guitar rhythm. So here we are! I am neither a bossa nova guitarist nor a jazz one, so let's call this "with added Bossa Nova flavour" to keep the purists happy. This is the first video following through with the long-ago promised expansion into recording electric guitar and styles beyond acoustic folk. Long story short - I had some issues with my home studio, but have since moved over to a Mac setup and am much happier (and more productive). Also - I finally finished building my Fender Jazzmaster, so it was a natural choice for this video. It can get a really smooth tone on the neck pickup...Leo Fender originally intended for it to take hold in the jazz market in the late 50's, though it never did. Have to admit it doesn't fare too badly though! If only YouTube wasn't still wreaking havoc with the audio quality of my videos...the guitar sounded cleaner on the original recording.

The eight bar guitar intro to Fleetwood Mac's Need Your Love So Bad by Peter Green. Chord progression: (A:A7:D7:Dsharpdim:A:Fsharpm:Bm7:E7A:D9:A:E:E7) is almost identical to John Mayer I'm Gonna Find Another You. Mayer also uses some identical phrases - great tune though. Played on an American G&L ASAT CLassic BluesBoy Semi-Hollow by Leo Fender. Played without effects through a MasterTone Amplifiers modified 5w Blackheart BH5-112 combo amplifier. Mods include: - - Valve/Tube upgrade to Sovtek ECC83 and Harma Retro EL84 (Watford Valves brand). - Tone and coupling caps have been changed to Sprague Orange Drops and a silver mica. - London Power scaling. Recorded and edited through iMovie using built-in iSight camera.

This bass was made after Leo Fender death, only for one year, because the name "Legacy" was registred for Zon. So, in 1993 the name switched to "LB-100". A great bass, P-bass clone but with the G&L high quality craftmanship. At video the bass sounds without effects, through an old Marshall solid state amp combo (30w and 12" Celestion cone).
