Message for the New Year
My wishes for the world this year, is that we can all find a way to meet in peace That we will find ways to feed the hungry, that we will find the medicine to cure the sick That we will find it in our hearts to love eachother, despite religion and color, political views and history. That we will honor the teachings from when we were kids; To always do right, over wrong. We are entering 2010 and its time to say NO MORE. when I was a kid, i asked my dad. Why does people starve in the world, when we have so much here? My dad would say that it was poverty and wars that led people into this misfortune. I asked why our country didnt help, and my dad didnt have an answer. When I have children, I hope the income of this world, will be shared all around the globe, so we wont have any people starving anymore. It shoud be a possibility and it should be on us to make it happen. I want to be able to tell my children and grandchildren that once upon a time there was people starving in this world, but then the people came to their senses and began sharing with eachother. I want to be able to tell them there used to be wars, but then the people came to their senses and made wars history forever. People stopped hurting others for oil and gold and land and oportunity and began sharing and caring and loving eachother. Love is understanding. France accuses US of 'occupying' Haiti
France has accused the US of occupying stricken Haiti, saying its military surge is hindering the relief effort. The French minister in charge of humanitarian aid has asked the UN to clarify America's role in the country. He says after assuming charge of Haiti's main airport, they've been turning away emergency supplies in favor of military planes. The charity Doctors without Borders backed his call to the UN, saying lives were being put at risk. US commanders insist they agreed to give priority to aid shipments last night after UN intervention.

Taxi drivers occupy regulator's office, Dublin.
Taxi drivers protest over Regulator's broken promises By Vanessa O'Sullivan taken from (www.swp.ie) Following last years strike, four members from the ITC went to talk to the regulator about the refusal to follow through with agreements made (Monday). The regulator then asked for security forces to remove the drivers when the refused to leave without answers. The forcefulness of the guards resulted in one of the men (71 years old) leaving in an ambulance after being refused water to take medication, one being pulled outside the building and the other two occupying the building. The occupying drivers were refused food, water and even access to a toilet after locking themselves in a room. Today (Tuesday) the drivers outside had to negociate with officers to allow the occupiers access to the necessities listed, while others tried to contact Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey in an attempt to sort the dispute out. The minister was given until 6pm to respond and set up a meeting over the next week but did not respond. A High Court injunction was granted ordering the protestors to stop occupying the regulators offices however both men still refused to leave. They men are in the high court at 10am tomorrow morning (Wednesday). Drivers have been claiming for years regulations are crippling their industry and are now tired of being ignored. The drivers took over O' Connell St and Fitzwilliam square, where the regulators office is situated, and refuse to leave until the minister ...

GGN- Why Are US Military Occupying Four Airports In Haiti?
www.infowars.com The United States is now operating at four airports to ferry aid and relief supplies to quake-devastated Haiti, a senior US military commander said Thursday. In addition to the Caribbean nations main port of entry, Port-au-Prince airport, US forces were also now at work at airports in the coastal city of Jacmel. They were also operating in the neighboring Dominican Republic at San Isidro and Barahona, US Southern Command chief General Douglas Fraser said. Around 11000 US military personnel are currently controlling the operations both on the ground and offshore aboard US Navy and Coast Guard vessels, and another 4000 US troops are expected to arrive in the coming days. The Americans controlling of the aid operations has raised tensions with some countries. Bolivia and Venezuela have criticized its heavy presence and France earlier expressed annoyance after aid planes were delayed from landing. French Secretary of State for Cooperation Alain Joyandet called on the United Nations to clarify the US role in Haiti, saying the priority was helping Haiti, not occupying Haiti. (annotations with translations coming soon) Check this out, this is unbelievable. Since a few years, some muslims illegally occupy streets of Paris each Friday to pray towards mecca. According to them, this is to protest the fact that these poor souls don't have enough mosques, they indeed don't have one in this district. What they forget is that French government does not finance any religion or religious builiding whatsoever. They are totaly free to buy some space and build a mosque. Yet they complain about french governement being mean to them beacause thay "don't have the right to ave a mosque". Go figure. So they block the streets every Friday between 3 and 5 PM to pray towards mecca. Cars are not allowed to drive on the streets. Several mild agressions have been reported about people trying to go to their home since they inhabit the street. But having them walking was disturbing the prayer. Some women have been insulted for not being veiled.
